We worked with our clients on their home in two stages:
first-floor paint, lighting, furniture and decor soon after moving in, and the master suite redecorating a year later. We leaned into the home’s decidedly traditional architecture and our clients’ love of traditional design to create a well-decorated home within their project goals.
For the master suite, we chose a new traditional design that was colorful yet subdued in a palette of plum, blue and cream. We approached pattern and texture mixing with restraint, carefully selecting textiles that would best accentuate the wallpaper behind the bed while creating a calm and restful environment.
To achieve our project goals, we balanced quality lighting selections, upholstery pieces, wallpaper, a custom walnut dining table and selected window treatments with affordable decorative accents and accessories to ensure a bold and interesting result.
The centerpiece of this home is the dining room; it is from the colors of the bold, black grounded floral wallpaper that we chose the extended palette for this home. The living room, set adjacent in a semi-open floor plan, is simple yet bold in a layered deep green color scheme. The four club chair arrangement is able to be enjoyed by the kids, but is intended to be an adult space for cocktails and conversation with friends. This home is testament to staying true to one’s personal style and our project goals: together, we will create spectacular results.
