This comprehensive first-floor decorating project is the second home we have designed with this family.

Our client has superb taste and knows what she likes; we worked together to refine her vision and make clear and decisive decisions to remove the stress of decorating from the design process.

Our client loves a clean and fresh new traditional vibe, so we sought to reimagine this home in a way that would accentuate its early 2000s traditional architecture while bringing in fresh colors, shapes and finishes.

Beautiful details like arched windows and doorways along with cabinetry door panels served as a great starting point for our design. We focused on curves and soft lines throughout our selections to repeat these pretty details and make our design feel intentional.
All furniture selections were chosen to introduce modern lines, textiles and patterns. The dining room became the centerpiece of the home. Here, we selected a richly detailed textured wallpaper with a floral motif for a luxurious feel, and we designed a Danish-inspired dining table to keep the room feeling modern and fresh. The furnishings selected were a combination of custom pieces designed by MHG and ready made goods.  We added finishing touches like custom Roman shades to elevate the design and provide much needed light control and privacy.  This project is home to an active and growing young family of five with the cutest dog; it is a great example that you can have a home that suits all of your practical needs and still looks fresh out of a magazine.
